Ingredients (with quantities):

    For Macaron Shells:
    👉 3 egg whites (large)
    👉 3 tbsp sugar (38g)
    👉 1 & 1/2 cup powdered sugar (190g)
    👉 1 cup almond flour (100g)
    👉 Food color / flavor (as preferred, approximately 1 tsp)

    For Buttercream:
    👉 250g Bakersfield Whippit Buttercream
    👉 1-2 tbsp milk
    👉 Food color / flavor (optional)

    Recipe Yield: Approximately 60 pieces of macaron shells.



Instructions:

👨‍🍳 1) Prepare Macaron Shells: Line baking sheets with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form. Sift powdered sugar and almond flour together. Gently fold this mixture into the beaten egg whites until just combined. Add preferred food color or flavoring to the batter and fold gently until fully incorporated. Pipe small circles of batter onto prepared baking sheets. Tap the baking sheets on the counter to release air bubbles and let the macarons sit at room temperature for 30-45 minutes until they form a skin. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Bake macarons for 15-18 minutes. Let them cool completely before assembling.

👨‍🍳 2) Make Buttercream: In a bowl, combine Bakersfield Whippit Buttercream with 1-2 tbsp of milk. Add preferred food color or flavoring, if desired, and mix until smooth.

👨‍🍳 3) Assembly: Pair macaron shells of similar sizes. Spread or pipe a small amount of buttercream onto the flat side of one shell and sandwich it with another. Repeat until all macaron shells are assembled into pairs.
